DEPOSITS AND PUPPY PICKUP
IF YOU ARE COMING TO A 100 MILE
MEET and are staying in a hotel overnight, please ask me how many pups I have going before you book in 100 Mile. If you have the only pup going, I would appreciate not having to travel to 100 Mile. So stay in William's Lake please. Then you can pick up your puppy earlier and be on your way.
Besides, there is nothing in 100 Mile.
At least we have stores and good restaurants and lakeside motels.
In person meet is cash please. If you wish to do an etransfer from the parking lot, then you will be paying the GST/PST 12% taxes on the balance you owe.
If you want to go looking for a bank because you do not understand the concept of cash, I am not waiting for you to do so. You have had weeks to get it together.
If you come to my house, I do not have cel service so you will not be doing an etransfer from here either.

PICTURES

DO NOT ASK ME FOR PICTURES. It takes the proper conditions outside (ie sunshine), right time of day where I am set up to take them and that I have time to do it. It is very time consuming and I prefer to end up with good pictures for you.

VISITATION
I am sorry, I cannot have you dropping by to “check out my dogs.” When you come to get your puppy, you are not touring my kennel.
You could bring disease here that could wipe out every puppy I have.
The only people allowed are here are to pick up their puppy are those that have a deposit on one.
You will be met at the gate.
Outside dogs do not enter the property. Hence, no, you are not bringing your other dog to "meet the new puppy." Leave your other dog in your car please.
VACCINATIONS
Dogs (and cats, for that matter) are being over vaccinated ! Vaccinations are killing our dogs. High incidence of cancer and autoimmune disease are being caused by too many vaccinations. Your puppy will have age appropriate vaccinations.

1st @ 8weeks. I then hold the puppy for at least 5 days before shipping or pickup in case there is a reaction to the vaccine.
If still here 2nd @ 12 weeks.
I do not think a “booster on a booster” is needed @ 16 weeks. Go ahead and have it done if you like or you can stand your ground with an intimidating vet and refuse.
You can get a 1 yr. Booster. Then NEVER any more ! Get rabies only if you need it. You do not need bordatella (kennel cough) unless you are boarding or daycaring your dog.
If your vet harrasses you to the point that you are going to cave in, ask them to do a TITRE TEST to check antibody levels before putting more vaccines in your dog.
They will not suggest it. They make more money vaccinating your dog constantly. Boggle them with your knowledge.

They are totally stable. Much more than x pens. You can shove the long pins that keep the panels together into the ground outside and only use as many panels as you need for inside/outside use. They do slide a bit when jumped on if on concrete or smooth surface. There are different heights. I use the 24" for puppies so I can reach over but as they get bigger the occasional pup will climb out so I would go for the higher one right away. FREE SHIPPING !!
NEW recommendation. I have purchased several LL Bean DOG BEDS now. They are the BEST ever ! have had lots of different brands. These are the only ones that have the zipper so well encased that the dogs can't chew them out, get at the inner bed and gut it !! BAD DOGS !
They are expensive, but worth it. On that note, have never had a problem with anything from this company. Everything is superb quality.
This applies to any bed. Take out the inner cushion and put into a garbage bag for protection against accidents.
Costco still great for a dog bed. They are huge, but cheap and great quality for the price, although I haven't been to Costco for 8 years so don't even know the price , lol . Take the cushion out and put into a huge (leaf) garbage bag and back inside in case of accident.

Toys !!! :) The dogs play with Chuckit balls.
The one in Ranger's rather large mouth is a XXL ( and is too big for him, size your dog's toys for their mouths so they don't get injured.)
Smaller ones come on a card of 3 and Walmart is cheapest. Haven't seen the big ones there yet.
Don't buy the soccer or football. They are a styrofoam inner ball covered with a light canvas and are destroyed in short order. At around $30, save yourself the grief !
Don't buy the tennis balls or any tennis ball. They just chew them up and the fabric threads can damage teeth !

**Collars
This is the collar you want. Just my opinion, but a regular collar will pull over the head unless you do it up in a choke hold.
A harness just teaches a pup/dog to pull because.........that is what a harness was designed for.....pulling.
The "martingale"collar must be adjusted correctly. There must be a gap on the nylon part so that the chain can close to the right spacing. If the nylon collar ends can come together, it defeats the purpose and it becomes a regular collar that can be pulled out of.
***DO NOT leave this collar on your pup/dog when you are not attaching a leash to it and going out ! Collars are dangerous. This collar could become caught up and strangle your dog.
Even regular collars are dangerous. I have TWICE, yes twice in the past, had dogs playing and biting at each others necks, which is a behaviour they do, and the ones bottom jaw has gotten under the collar and the dog couldn't get loose. Ended up freaking out the one time because there was blood all over until I realized it was mine from the chewing up my hand received when I was getting them apart.
You will receive a collar and leash with your puppy if I have them. I sometimes have trouble getting them from the supplier.
Do NOT buy the cutesy side by side dishes. You will spend all your time dumping food out of the water dish. Keep food and water as far apart as you can. Opposite sides of the room is great
Do NOT buy a retractable leash. They are dangerous ! You can get a freaked out dog running in circles around you wrapping your legs before you can react and retract it and you can get pulled over, legs cut up if in shorts in summer, leash wrapped around another dog and strangle it, around a tree and strangle your dog. Catastrophes are limitless. Hasn't happened to me because I don't use them, but I have a vivid imagination.
Saw a young boy with his Mom and puppy in Bosley's (please don't take your puppy into the pet store until at least 2 weeks after second vaccinations, it is full of germs) and said "excuse me, those are dangerous, you should get a normal leash, training leash, long if that is what you want.) They looked at me like I was nuts (well I am, but that is beside the point) and bought it anyway. What do I know ?

FAQ How much to feed, how often ? I don't know how much your puppy eats personally. There is usually a litter in the pen. Try 1/3 cup per 5 lb. body weight 3 times a day. If the pup gobbles it up, give it more. Seriously, I do get asked this all the time. Did your children survive infancy ?
Lately there as been an influx of "my puppy is always hungry, my puppy has diarrhea, my puppy won't eat ! I bought Acana, I bought Royal Canin, I bought.......get the drift ? Then call the pet store with your problems. I told you (verbally even after you didn't read anything here), what I feed the puppies after having tried many brands. If you then go and "the pet store recommended that" , or "your vet" .....approach, so be it. Pet store employees don't give a bowel movement what food you buy and vets get a kickback (so do breeders) on Royal Canin crappy food. I don't recommend food because I benefit, I do it because it is the food that works.
You can also free feed with food out all the time.
Take the food away at least 2-3 hours before the pup's bedtime if crate training. Can't tell you a time, unless you tell me what time you go to bed.
Make it as easy as possible for the pup to hold it overnight.
Never take water away (until in crate.)

YOUR PUPPY........
~will have been handled every day, several times a day since birth. I never walk past them without touching them and talking to them.
~have had their nails trimmed every week from 2 weeks of age. Been bathed, blow dried, ears cleaned, face trimmed.
~been introduced to several different rooms, toys, beds, crates, dishes, etc. Outside in the brief period of time it is actually warm enough here!
~there is a radio playing at all times in the nursery and lots of different noises associated with their area. They are virtually bomb proof when they come to you.
~Temperment tested which to me is studying them so I can tell you who figures out a challenge fastest or is the most loving or outgoing. I know my dogs, even this young.
I once did a famous temperment test on my first litter of Mini Aussies. My puppies were on newspaper at that time. One of the tests is to crumple a newspaper ball and throw it and see if they will pick it up and bring it back.
I said to my friend helping me "why would they want to go get that ? They walk around and poop on paper ! Enough of that.

HEALTH GUARANTEES AND TREATMENTS.....
~A 2 year inherited abnormalities health guarantee that is a REPLACEMENT guarantee. This means that if your puppy develops a life threatening genetic problem (i.e. heart trouble, hip dysplasia, etc.) you will be given another puppy.

~Your puppy will NOT come with a blanket smelling like it's Mother or littermates ! I don't know why people keep asking except for the load of misinformation on the internet being taken as gospel ! Your puppy has not seen it's Mother in approximately 3 weeks by the time you get it. Why would you want to introduce the smell of it's Mother back ? So it can cry and look for her ?

JUST ANOTHER "what do I know" ? common sense opinion.
~FAQ bathing and shampoo, brushes, etc. I am sorry, I don't know how often you should bathe your pup. How often does it pup get filthy ? Do not bathe any more than ABSOLUTELY necessary. I use
Buddy Wash shampoo for body and baby shampoo for puppies and faces on all dogs.
~Brush~ slicker, the one with pin teeth that are bent on an angle. Use GENTLY. Don't dig in.
~Metal comb for face. Makes sense to get one with 2 different size teeth.
Keep hair around eyes and bum clipped.
Get a good GROOMER and go every 8 weeks or so. Do not let your dog get matted or you will be in big trouble with your groomer and your dog will hate grooming . I also don't know how often you should have your dog clipped. Do you live in the tropics or where it can be -35 in the winter like I do ?

I don't know what coat type your puppy will have as a dog.

~Microchipping~
Every puppy that leaves here is microchipped for identification. The form to register the chip is with your puppy in the pocket of the health record. You can do online or call them. Please do this. Heaven forbid your dog will leave your side long enough to get lost , but be safe !
~Your puppy will be confident, outgoing and affectionate and ready to follow you around. He/she will put all trust in you and what you make of this baby is now up to you!

I do not charge you to go to the airport although everyone that I buy a dog or pup from charges me. Airfare is now ridiculous to Pacific Coastal destinations. It is $162.75 for the first size of crate I use most. The next size up is not known til the crate is weighed and measured and formulated for price at the airport.
Pacific Coastal is located at the south terminal YVR across the street from the seaplane base. Go to cargo area side.
Locations at all other destinations, look it up !
Flying out to pick your pup up and take it back, is sometimes cheaper than shipping ! Consider that.
I cannot ship to Abbotsford, PCA does not fly there.
I am dealing with a small airport and small aircraft. Winter conditions can start in October and not end until April.
I do the best I can . I have done this many times and know what to do and how to do it.
I have had people several times look at the schedules and tell me how they would like to receive their pups. STOP. You have no idea what you are looking at or how many different directions I have pups going in. Not all planes can take live cargo. There are connections of all different lengths. Just because a plane goes somewhere does not mean puppies can be on it. I will coordinate pups to get as many out at once as I can. It is done to obtain the BEST CONNECTIONS if they are needed, not for my benefit, so your puppy is not sitting in the airport for hours ! I will go as many times as I have to go to ensure the comfort of the pups.
If you get into a cancellation situation, remember that I am in it also.
I can't ship to the Okanagan or Kamloops , hence, 100 Mile.

It takes a lot of coordination to get pups out. I do my utmost to accommodate everyone but can't be everywhere at once. I go south to 100 Mile and north to the airport.
